How should I package my device?
Shipping Guidelines for Safe MacBook Transport:
• Bubble Wrap or Shipping Paper: We recommend using bubble wrap or shipping paper to protect your device during shipping. Avoid excessive tape on bubble wrap to make packaging hassle-free.
• Proper Padding: Ensure your shipping box has approximately 2 inches of padding (bubble wrap or packing paper) on all sides. Wrap your device in bubble wrap to prevent it from shifting during transit. Adequate padding on the top and bottom of the box safeguards your device against potential shipping punctures.
Additional Tips for Secure MacBook Shipping for Repair:
• Device Shutdown: Power off your device before shipping to prevent any accidental activation during transit.
• Avoid Apple Box: Please refrain from using the original Apple box for shipping. We cannot assume responsibility for damages to your original Apple device box.
• Charger Inclusion: While chargers aren't obligatory for Apple device shipments, if you suspect charger issues, please mention this on your mail-in form and include it in the package.
• Charger Placement: When sending a charger, place it on the sides of the box, not on top or below the Laptop. This prevents pressure on the Laptop, which could potentially damage the screen.
• Include Job ID Form: Remember to include a printed copy of your Job ID form inside the box for easy identification.
Shipping Disclaimer: CalgaryMac Computer Repairs is not liable for improper packaging or any damages that may occur during shipping to our shop.
By following these guidelines, you'll ensure a secure and worry-free shipping experience for your MacBook.
